How does the Automated Shift Assistant help when I want to ride off on a hill?

The  combination of the Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) and Hill Start Control (HSC) can make hill starts considerably easier. Hill Start Control prevents uncontrolled rolling back on inclines through application of the integrated ABS brake system. The ASA supports the rider when starting on an incline by eliminating the need to operate the clutch and preventing the engine from stalling. This makes it easier to drive off in difficult places, e.g., on steep hills or off-road, especially when riding with baggage and a passenger.
