For motorcycles with Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), it is important to place the vehicle correctly onto its center stand to prevent damage.. Proceed as follows to correctly raise your motorcycle onto its center stand:
- Ensure that the stand area is level and firm.
- In case of road gradients, position the motorbike in the "uphill" direction and engage 1st gear.
- Press the power-off switch.
- The “P” icon for parking mode lights up in the display and the motorbike is secured against rolling away.
- Turn off the ignition.
- Open the foot plate on the center stand.
- Push the center stand down on the foot plate, then raise your motorcycle.
- To lower: first fold in the center stand and then the foot plate on the center stand.
With the optional adaptive height control, the Prop Up Assistant (when the ignition is turned on) helps you to jraise the vehicle onto its center stand. The effort required for raising the motorcycle is significantly reduced. When the center stand is folded out, a sensor recognizes the center stand-up request and simultaneously aligns the chassis accordingly.
Note: Repeated operation of the jProp-Up Assistant can discharge the battery. The use of the Prop-Up Assistant can only be repeated to a limited extent. The ignition must be turned off and on again for further attempts.
