What happens if I want to shift outside the maximum or minimum rpm range with the Automated Shift Assistant?

When shift mode "D" is active:  No gear shift takes place above the maximum rpm range. The engine cannot be "over-revved".  

 

Below the minimum rpm,  the system downshifts  automatically  (even in manual shift mode "M") or the clutch is opened automatically in 1st gear. This prevents the engine from "stalling".
