We recommend the following procedure for cleaning the jacket:
- First disconnect the jacket from the power source.
- Remove the detachable electronics (including the control module).
- Remove the inner jacket and empty the pockets. The permanently installed cables for the LED light strips and the favorite switch can remain in the jacket during cleaning.
- For cleaning the inner jacket: It is best to wash it in a laundry bag, separate from the outer jacket.
- Use a damp cloth. If very dirty, the jacket can be washed in the washing machine at 85 °F - 105 °F on the gentle cycle. Use BMW Motorrad performance detergent or a liquid mild detergent. Do NOT use fabric softener.
- Rinse sufficiently.
- After washing, the garment can be spun briefly.
- Hang the jacket to dry at room temperature.
Before reconnecting the electrical components after washing, make sure that the jacket is completely dry.
