Why can't I charge my smartphone in the ConnectedRide Cradle inductively and with a cable at the same time or charge two devices at the same time?

As a rule, smartphones are designed so that only one type of charging works.
Due to the maximum charging power available, it is not possible to charge two devices simultaneously via the cradle, for example the smartphone inductively and another device via a cable. The available charging power would not be sufficient to charge both devices simultaneously.
