I want to connect my smartphone to the ConnectedRide Cradle for the first time. What do I have to take into account?

  1. First, turn on your motorcycle.
  2. The pairing of the cradle and smartphone can then be carried out.
  3. Insert the cradle into the navigation preparation and open the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone.
  4. Activate Bluetooth.
  5. Open the "Connectivity Hub" in the BMW Motorrad Connected app.
  6. Click on "Connect a new device" to pair your ConnectedRide Cradle.
  7. Select your cradle and wait until the message "Connected" appears.

Now the pairing of the cradle and your smartphone is complete and the connection is activated automatically every time you use it.


Notes in case of no direct connection:

  • Check whether you have given the BMW Motorrad Connected app all the necessary permissions.
  • If you can't find your cradle in the "Connectivity Hub", check if it is already connected to another smartphone. The cradle can only be connected to a single smartphone at the same time. If necessary, deactivate the Bluetooth function on the other smartphone.
  • If you still can't set up the connection, disconnect or delete all Bluetooth connections on the smartphone and cradle. Then try to set up the connection as described above.
