What is the Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) in the R 1300 RT?

The optional Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) takes touring to a new level. The automatic clutch operation and gearshifting offer an effortless ride – ideal for long distances. Switch to “D” mode for efficiency and precision, or retain control over gear changes in “M” mode. At the same time, your boxer engine delivers precise power, while the gentle gear changes provide a stable and comfortable ride.
