How does the continuous size adjustment of the Vario luggage system on the R 1300 GS work?

The volume/size can be continuously adjusted via a handwheel at the top of the interior of the case / topcase providing the user with a truly individualized volume/size to accommodate luggage for each trip rather than just two selections (expanded / not expanded) to choose from. Before adjusting the volume/size, ensure the case / topcase is empty. To reduce the volume, turn the adjustment wheel clockwise; to expand the volume, turn it counterclockwise.


Note: Before adjusting the size, please empty the contents.
